With continuous advances in technology, orthodontic treatment for adults and children is becoming more popular. The traditional ‘train-track’ metal braces are no longer the only choice for straightening teeth. You can now choose a more modern, more efficient and more discreet brace system to achieve the smile you want.
Invisalign® at Mulberry Dental Clinic
One popular teeth straightening system is Invisalign®. Invisalign® straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every two weeks, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position. With Invisalign®, achieving the smile you always dreamed of doesn’t have to be a big deal. The traditional route to correcting issues such as crooked teeth, gaps and crowded mouths has long been visible braces. However, Invisalign® system uses no brackets or wires - is it clear, removable and comfortable, so it won’t interfere with your appearance or your life.
Using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology, Invisalign aligners are created and can show a complete treatment plan, from the initial positioning of your teeth to the final desired straight position. Your aligners are changed and replaced every 2 weeks, slowly moving your teeth until the final straight result is achieved.
How does Invisalign® work?
Comfort & tooth structure Teeth and jaws that are not properly aligned can cause improper bites, which can lead to increased wear on the tooth enamel and painful trauma to the supporting bone and jaw joints. Invisalign® clear dental braces effectively address these orthodontic issues.
Improved oral health
The metal wires and brackets of traditional fixed braces often trap food, which can lead to a build of up plaque and eventually tooth decay. As Invisalign® clear dental braces are made of plastic and are removable, you can continue to brush and floss as you normally would to maintain good oral hygiene. And because straighter teeth are less susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease, investing in a straighter smile now may even minimise the need for costly dental work in the future.
Our experienced dental team is skilled in restoring smiles:
When you’ve finished wearing each aligner in the series, your treatment will be complete, and you will have the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. To ensure that your perfect new smile stays this way, you’ll wear retainers at night for the first six months and then as instructed by your dentist (usually a few times a week.)
